World His Story 101

LGNY

A ritualistic go-go poem that deconstructs the sex clubs of the world in a series of non-narrative vignettes. Through a blend of theatrical forms, the work explores the individual’s isolation from gender, sexuality, and physical love in the confusion of contemporary global culture.

A one act version of World His Story 101 was performed in San Francisco at the Marsh and in New York City in a production directed by Joseph Covino at both the Mansion Theatre (Spanish Harlem) and True’s Kitsch Inn. Excerpts from the show have been performed in other festivals and venues including Homolatte and Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins.
