Chris

A bilingual love letter to a very special man, Chris was developed at Cabaret Mado in a benefit for OUT Productions then published as a text in Black Heart Magazine. The film premiered at the 2010 edition of InsideOut where the director won “Best Up and Coming Toronto Film Maker.” 

“Chris” went on to be screened at the 2010 editions of the Copenhagen Gay and Lesbian Film Festival; The Hamburg International Queer Film Festival; the Hannover Lesbian and Gay Film Festival; the Paris Gay, Lesbian and Trans Film Festival; the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival; and Image + Nation in Montreal. In 2011, it was shown at Pink Apple in Zurich, TranScreen in Amsterdam, Translations in Seattle, Reel Out in Kingston, Ontario, Pleasure Dome‘s New Works Show in Toronto, the Emergence Queer Film Festival at the University of Western Ontario in London, and Polychromes in Nice, France. In 2012, “Chris” was screened at the LA Transgender Film Fest, which took place at the Echo Park Film Center, and was included in that festival’s curated selection of shorts presented at the 2013 edition of the Tel Aviv International LGBT Film Festival.
